All three ONE series albums and the Boho, added in 2017, share all the same high-end cover options and handcrafted construction. It’s mainly the prints/pages on the inside that define them separately:
- ONE features photographic silver halide prints on Fuji Crystal Archive (luster), Fuji Deep Matte, or Kodak Metallic.
- artONE features giclée (inkjet) printing on Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper.
- nextONE is a matted-hybrid album with an overlay construction style. It is offered with either Fuji luster or Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper and requires no special software or templates to design.
- Boho is also a matted-hybrid album, but features pagemount construction. It is offered with either Fuji luster photographic paper, or Hahnemühle Bamboo or MOAB Entrada Rag fine art papers and requires no special software or templates to design.
All albums in the ONE series include 10 leaves/20 page-sides of prints and nearly 150 cover options in the base price. The artONE was Finao’s second iteration in the ONE series. It features inkjet printing which is considered a superior process because it is capable of printing a broader color spectrum, lending to smoother transitions between gradients. The main draw for most when it comes to the artONE is the paper itself. The gorgeous hand of the Hahnemühle paper is seriously delicious. The soft watercolor texture adds depth and interest, and our proprietary surface modification protects the print from wear without detracting from the characteristics of the paper. artONE is a Professional Photographer Hot One Award winner.
The nextONE is the newest revolution in matted albums. It requires no special software and no special templates, so you are free to design any way you like. Both prints and mats are able to cross the center crease (no gutters), and full-bleed portions are built up to sit flush next to matted portions on the same layout. By following just a few simple rules, you can create a completely custom matted hybrid with the same ease as designing a regular flush mount album, and at nearly 1/2 the cost of other popular matted options. It is also a Professional Photographer Hot One Award winner for best traditional matted album and it’s easy to see why! Again, the base price includes the cover and 10 leaves/20 page-sides of prints and/or prints and mats in any combination; mats do not affect the price at all.
Boho was added for Fall 2017 and is similar to the nextONE as it’s a hybrid matted-flush album, and also in it’s free-spirit design requirements. However, Boho’s pagemount construction style sets it apart. It is a split-page book, but your designs can still cross the center, we’ll take care of the cutting. A mat liner in your choice of color sits beneath each print and lends a beautiful accent to each image. The top mat is cut a touch larger so that, instead of covering the edges of your prints, it creates a frame around your print and the mat liner accent. This traditional approach has finally met a modern (and easy) design and ordering process, making what was old new again and removing the barriers to this type of classic beauty for a whole new generation of photographers.
